DESIGN CAMP 2017

MADDEN’S ON GULL LAKE, OCTOBER 6-8

Since 1980, AIGA MN’s Design Camp has been annually held in northern Minnesota and has set the standard for design conferences nationwide. This year, campers experienced five outstanding keynote speakers, hands-on workshops held by the industry’s best, and a weekend full of opportunities to socialize and truly let go, amongst peers and icons alike. A collective of illustrators, photographers, educators, graphic designers, art directors, students, web developers, executives, copywriters, visual artists, sculptors, project managers, and design entrepreneurs assembled at Madden's on Gull Lake to be actively idle while inspired in creativity & innovation with others in the design trade.

Content Strategy

Design Camp was action-packed with camp activities officially taking place Friday - Sunday. Essential features included a presence at the five renowned keynote speaker presentations, 12 curated workshops, Business Expo & Friday Cocktail hour & dinner.

We sought out to capture and direct the production of content that centering on themes of innovation, inspiration, and fun.  

Goals

1) engage campers, 2) create FOMO of those who weren’t there, and 3) build an alluring gallery of creative to be used for event promotion for years to come.
